Annual food show to begin in Kelowna
When it comes to living in Kelowna, food plays a central role. The foodie scene has been steadily growing over the past number of years and there are a significant number of high-quality eateries featuring fresh, local produce for residents and visitors to enjoy.
From May 4 to May 6, Kelowna will also play host to a collaborative food show at downtown’s Kelowna Curling Club. The event will see hundreds of vendors, including local restaurants, chefs, artisans, farmers, wineries, food and beverage producers and food wellness specialists, join together to create an event that is sure to be delicious.
This is the first of what organizers hope will become an annual event. Dubbed the Okanagan Eats Food Show 2017, according to the event’s website, attendees should expect to “Sip and nibble your way through hundreds of food and drink vendors as you explore new tastes and brands, and learn a thing or two from our favourite local chefs during live food demos and competitions…”
The event will also see a special guest visit the Okanagan as Chef Derrick Fox, a runner-up on MasterChef USA, visits our region.
Advance tickets will go on sale next month (April 2017), while there will be some tickets available at the door too. To learn more about the event, please visit OkanaganEats.ca
