7 Kelowna Condo Projects to Check Out [2019 Update]

Whether you’re looking to downsize and retire in Kelowna, buy your first home, or invest in BC’s booming housing market, there is a condo project for you. There are a number of condominium projects in various stages of development and completion, including several that are in the early planning stages with completion scheduled for 2019, 2020, and 2021. But if you’re looking to get into your new Kelowna condo sooner rather than later, these are just some of the projects you’ll want to check out with one of our condo specialists.

One Water Street

The complex will be home to two and three-bedroom condominiums, townhomes, live/work spaces, and a penthouse collection.  The east tower, currently under construction, will stand 36-stories tall offering unmatched water, city and mountain views.  Homeowners will enjoy sophisticated, contemporary interiors, and generous outdoor space.

Ella

Under construction by the Mission Group, Ella will stand 20 stories high and is expected to complete in 2020.  Located on Ellis in Kelowna’s Bernard District, the tower will be home to 116 contemporary suites including studios, one bedroom, two bedrooms, two bedrooms plus den, and penthouses.  As retail space and parking occupy levels one through five, nearly all of Ella’s suites provide spectacular views - be it a lake, mountain, or city. Equipped with a gas outlet, each Ella home includes a generous balcony or terrace.

Brooklyn

Part of a larger three-phase plan and also constructed by Kelowna’s Mission Group, Brooklyn, located on St. Paul Street is a 25-storey high-rise expected to completed in 2021.  Home to 178 suites, the floor plans range from 491 to 930 square feet and offer modest pricing when compared to other new downtown condo developments.  Offering rare short-term rental zoning, homeowners have the flexibility to offer rentals on Airbnb that are less than 30-days in length, providing investors with a healthy investment.

Similar to Ella retails shops will line its base with a few levels of parking above. The resulting first-level homes start from the building’s 5th floor maximizing views for nearly all of Brooklyn’s homeowners.  Brooklyn’s exterior matches its name with the red brick and iron-clad podium common to Brooklyn style architecture. And, similar to an urban centre, like Brooklyn, homeowners have boutique shops, independent coffee shops, and restaurants steps away on Kelowna’s trendy Bernard Street.

Ellis Parc

Set in the heart of Kelowna’s cultural district (at Ellis and Water), the 14-storey Ellis Parc is set to complete in 2019.  With 91 suites, the building offers a mix of two and three-bedroom homes.  The building’s rounded front results in unique floor plans and generous balconies.  And, it's very windowed exterior offers endless views and plenty of natural light.

St. Paul Kelowna

In contrast to the seemingly endless high-rise towers popping up inSt Paul Kelowna exterior  the downtown core is St. Paul Kelowna, a boutique, 54 suite, 5-storey wood frame development.  Home to four street-level townhomes and 50 condominiums, St. Paul Kelowna features studios, one bedroom, one bedroom plus dens, and two bedrooms.  

With a focus on sustainability, St. Paul Kelowna offers both green and innovative design features.  Lighting in common areas will be sensor controlled. A common real grass green roof, while encouraging a sense of community, minimizes stormwater runoff and reduces ‘heat island effect’ helping to save energy.  Even the traction elevator is ‘green’ as it eliminates the need for loads of energy and harmful hydraulic oils.

Beverly at Kelowna

Located outside the downtown core on Enterprise Way, The Beverly is a 56 suite, is a six-storey building constructed of wood and concrete.  With retails shops lining its base, The Beverly is designed to match the pedestrian-friendly vibe of its surroundings.  Offering studio, one, and two-bedrooms homes, residents of the Beverly can expect contemporary luxury finishing details inside.

Perhaps it’s most notable feature though is its 5,000 square foot rooftop entertaining space.  The beautifully landscaped common area, meant to provide stunning views, will include a fireside lounge with tables for entertainment.  Residents will also enjoy, gated parking, a bicycle washing station, an electric vehicle charging station, and secured storage lockers.

BRIXX  

BRIXX Kelowna Exterior With so much focus on condominiums in the downtown core, the BRIXX is a refreshing change - a development which includes only 12 luxury townhomes.  Its name BRIXX pay homages to the nearby original train station with XX signifying a railway crossing.  The complex includes ten different floor plans which have three bedrooms and either two and a half or three and a half bathrooms.  Each home includes a rooftop patio and a double car garage.

Set in the very residential neighbourhood at Richter and Cawston, residents have walkable access to all the amenities of Kelowna’s downtown.
