Kelowna dubbed one of the most scenic cities in North America
If you’re one of the 127,380 people who call the Kelowna area home, you already know how great it is. On the other hand, if you’ve been looking for reasons to move to the Central Okanagan and start living the good life, we have one more you can add to your list… Kelowna has just been named one of the 33 most scenic cities in North America!
North Americans love a good old-fashioned road trip, so the folks at carrentals.com put together a list of towns that are worth the journey. Their list includes Caribbean towns in places like Puerto Rico and Cuba, through to the frosty wonderlands found in Canada’s Yukon.
This is why you’re proud to live in Kelowna
The article says the following about our little piece of paradise:
When it comes to epic wine regions, California has Napa, Western Australia has Margaret River, and British Columbia has Kelowna. As you’re cruising through the vines of Mission Hill Winery and Quails Gate, you’ll be able to take in unobstructed views of Okanagan Lake. But this town isn’t just jammed with some of the best wineries in Canada; there are two fabulous ski resorts nearby—Big White and Silver Mountain Resort—in case you decide to take a vacay during the winter months. Please send us a postcard.
The only other British Columbia community to make the list is Squamish, which gets its nod for hiking, downhill mountain biking, and quenching your thirst at the local brewery. Actually, you can do all of things in Kelowna too!
Now, let’s do what we do best and share this article with our friends and family across Canada - just so they know what they’re missing.
